Job Description
Insight Global is seeking to hire a Jira Cloud Workspace Administrator to support a federal program in Frederick, MD, focusing on project‑level Jira Cloud configuration rather than full system administration. This role blends hands‑on Jira Cloud project‑level administration with workflow configuration, data extraction, reporting, and workspace optimization. The administrator will manage Jira Cloud workspaces—not as a full enterprise system admin, but as the primary owner of project‑level configuration, workspace structure, and day‑to‑day operational support. They will configure Jira projects, workflows, dashboards, and automation rules to improve visibility and operational efficiency across Agile teams. The role includes converting trouble reports, Smartsheet data, and legacy databases into structured Jira tickets and scalable workflows. The administrator will extract Jira data for dashboards, SAT/PAT test‑execution reporting, and program‑level summaries while ensuring accuracy and consistency. They will manage permissions, roles, workspace governance, and documentation to maintain a clean and organized Jira environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Jira workspaces, projects, boards, and configurations.
- Configure workflows, issue types, screens, custom fields, and notifications at the project level.
- Support Scrum and Kanban teams using Jira Cloud.
- Create and manage dashboards, filters, reports, and automation rules.
- Assist users with permissions, project roles, and access requests within assigned workspaces.
- Partner with project managers, product owners, and engineering teams to optimize Jira usage.
- Provide end-user training and troubleshooting support.
- Maintain documentation for workspace configurations and processes.
- Support integrations and coordination with tools such as Confluence and Slack.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow standardization.
