Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a traveling Field Service Engineer supporting a large government client both CONUS and OCONUS. The Field Service Engineer serves as a technical lead and subject matter expert supporting the survey, design, procurement, installation, testing, deployment, and sustainment of complex timing and synchronization network systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in transport, IP, DC power, SATCOM, RF, and GPS infrastructure, and operates within a fixed price, performance based environment governed by SLAs and AQLs. Responsibilities include performing detailed site surveys, developing TSIPs, MOPs, MBOMs, and engineering project packages, coordinating installations, cutovers, activations, and deactivations—including DISN equipment—conducting installation test and acceptance, and finalizing site acceptance. The engineer collaborates with customers, partners, facilities, and program leadership, provides technical support and recommendations for future expansion, maintains accurate documentation and redline drawings, ensures compliance with security and export control regulations, and supports program milestones through clear communication, travel, and administrative accountability.
Compensation:
$40-$55/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility
• Security+ certification
• Willingness to travel OCONUS and CONUS 80-90% during the contract
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and 6 years of related experience in installation such as BICSI or Telcordia. Specific experience, education, and training may be considered in place of a degree.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, configuring DIRN equipment such as Cisco and Juniper products.
• Experience conducting site survey and creating MBOMs
• Must be able to work in both team and independent environments and to organize work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to interpret network topology diagrams and proposed device configuration changes.
