Job Description
The role focuses on designing and delivering integration solutions using Kafka and Elastic as core data architecture platforms, while extending integrations to additional technologies such as Databricks. The candidate will integrate diverse data sources into Confluent (Kafka), Elastic, and Databricks environments, and develop Kafka based system integrations—including custom connectors and data processing solutions using ksqlDB and Kafka Streams. Responsibilities include building and maintaining integrations between Elasticsearch/Logstash and other enterprise systems, as well as deploying and managing Kafka clusters on Kubernetes across multi site, on premise, and cloud environments. The position also requires automating the full software lifecycle—from design and development through testing and production deployment—and creating robust DevOps pipelines. This includes containerized application delivery using Kubernetes and Docker, along with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment workflows.
Compensation:
$40/hr to $45/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelors Degree and 4 years of experience OR 8 years of experience
• Secret Clearance
• Security + or equivalent
• Hands on software development experience using Python, Java, and SQL, with additional working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
• Proficient with BI and observability platforms such as Kibana, and experienced with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kafka, NiFi, and Databricks.
• Understanding of event streaming architectures and advanced Kafka integration.
• Experience creating detailed software designs, including work with ksql and kstreams.
• Strong proficiency in adhering to a full software development lifecycle and delivering production quality code.
o Experience using distributed version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.
o Experience developing software in UNIX command line environments.
• Experience developing DoD requirements, traceability matrices, and detailed project plans/schedules, as well as authoring software systems engineering documentation and interface control documents (IDDs/ICDs).
