Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager for a leading industrial manufacturing client. This individual will own complex, engineered projects from initial handoff through final delivery, acting as the central point of coordination across engineering, supply chain, production, and customers. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments, protects project margins, manages risk proactively, and translates technical challenges into clear business decisions. Day-to-Day:
• Own projects from Sales-to-Operations handoff through fabrication, shipping, and site integration
• Conduct risk assessments to identify design, supply chain, or schedule bottlenecks
• Track KPIs including margin retention, on-time delivery, and project health metrics
• Validate sales contracts against engineering scope and technical feasibility
• Act as liaison between structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams
• Manage drawing releases, redlines, and master design documentation
• Coordinate procurement of long lead-time materials with Purchasing
• Monitor vendor and subcontractor performance for quality and delivery
• Partner with shop supervisors to resolve manufacturing issues in real time
• Lead internal quality audits with a “zero-punchlist” mindset
• Manage scope changes, calculate cost/schedule impacts, and negotiate change orders
• Provide monthly POC forecasts and cost reporting to leadership
• Serve as primary client contact, delivering clear and professional project updates
• Oversee warranty-phase activities and coordinate field support as needed

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–5 years of project management experience in manufacturing, industrial construction, or Oil & Gas environments
• End-to-end project lifecycle ownership experience (sales handoff through delivery and integration)
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, and margin protection
• Proficiency with scheduling tools (MS Project or similar)
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and/or AutoCAD drawings at a working level
• Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing vendors and long lead-time materials
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Direct experience in electrical systems, enclosures, or engineered-to-order products
• Shop floor or fabrication environment exposure
• Experience with Percent of Completion (POC) financial reporting
• Change order negotiation and scope control experience
• Prior warranty or post-installation support ownership
