Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join an exciting organization within the space industry. This role is essential in ensuring they meet cost, quality, and delivery goals. The coordinator will be embedded within the Maryland site, working closely with shop floor leads to gather requirements and ensure smooth procurement operations. Day to day responsibilities include managing and tracking purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely delivery, maintaining accurate and up-to-date reporting on order status and critical POs, reviewing process open order forms from the site. This individual will be entering requisitions into the procurement system for engineering and production teams, ensure procurement systems are clear and updated regularly, participate in daily stand-up meetings and update visual management boards.
They will be working directly on the shop floor with cell leads to identify support item needs and collect then communicate requirements to the purchasing team.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing, buying, or project management
Strong proficiency in Excel
Basic experience with ERP/MRP systems
Experience supporting buyers and ensuring on-time delivery of goods and services
Ability to resolve invoice issues and discrepancies
Experience maintaining accurate data in procurement systems
