Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a dependable Security Installation Technician to support the installation security and access control systems at customer sites.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CCTV systems, Access Control Systems, and Alarm systems and takes pride in clean, professional installations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, mount, and position access control devices, including door hardware, card readers, keypads, control panels, and alarm components
Install and connect intrusion alarm systems, including sensors, motion detectors, contacts, and control panels
Terminate and connect devices to existing low‑voltage cabling, power sources, and network drops as required
Configure access control and alarm system settings, such as user permissions, zones, schedules, alerts, and arming/disarming parameters
Test installed systems to ensure proper operation, signal integrity, and system responsiveness
Label and document all installed equipment and cabling according to company standards and project requirements
Troubleshoot basic access control, alarm, and connectivity issues during installation and initial testing
Collaborate with project managers and lead technicians to complete installations on schedule and within scope
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment at customer sites
Follow all safety guidelines, manufacturer specifications, and installation best practices


Compensation:

$20/hr to $25/hr.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

1–3 years of experience installing security systems, Access Control & Alarm Systems
Familiarity with IP and/or analog CCTV cameras
Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with CCTV
Manufacturer or industry certifications
