Job Description
An employer is looking for a Data Center Manager to sit at Joint Base Andrews. The Data Center Manager will provide technical leadership and hands-on support for IT planning, solution design, implementation, and target architecture development for the Consolidated Communication Center for customers across NIPRNet and SIPRNet domains. This role leads data center operations and migration planning; designs scalable, secure, and energy‑efficient infrastructure; and supports rack-and-stack, upgrades, consolidations, power continuity, and daily operations. The SME collaborates with stakeholders to establish standards, processes, and governance; ensures compliance with security and safety protocols; produces architectural artifacts and technical documentation; conducts performance evaluations and root-cause analyses; and works within a DevSecOps framework to research, recommend, and implement emerging technologies while effectively communicating design standards to internal and external partners.
Compensation:
$70/hr to $75/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
Secret Clearance
BS degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, EE, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of prior relevant experience
Active CompTia SEC+ CE Cert
Experience with Data Center Strategy, Planning, and Roadmap maintenance
Hands-on Experience in working with DoD networks, including NIPR, SIPR
NGEN first generation experience managing a central delivery of IT services for including: NOC operations, SOC operations, Cyber operations, messaging, systems, transport, storage, backup and restore and incident management.
Knowledge of power infrastructure layout from generation to rack level, redundancy levels and techniques, rack standards, properties and selection criteria, and power rail/strip options, cold aisle/hot aisle containment, and standards for fire suppression, security and safety
Experience in advising senior program leaders and stakeholders of hardware requirements, configurations and limitations.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
ITIL Foundation 4 Cert a plus
Data Center Management Certification a plus
Experience or familiarity with DCIM management software such as NLYTE
