Job Description

Our client is seeking a traveling Field Installation Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for:

Supervise and support an installation field team for a large program (HOPS – High Output Parcel Sorters).
Work closely and coordinate with project management and engineering teams on project planning and design reviews to optimize success in the field.
Schedule and assign Intralox and subcontractor installation resources
Support field team with the following:
On-site technical questions
Contractor or staffing issues
Schedule
Continuous improvement and performance support
Perform on-site inspections to ensure a quality installation.
Communicate closely with and support site superintendents to ensure scheduled completion of projects within time frame, quality, and performance standards.
Ensure equipment, tools, parts, materials, etc. are scheduled in accordance with the installation strategy to streamline installation.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Has a thorough understanding of commonly used installation and supervision concepts, practices, and procedures.
Understand a variety of complicated conveyor and associated equipment installation tasks.
Work with the integration team to develop subcontractor network and increase team capacity.
Assist Installation Program Manager with organizing trainings for new subcontractors and subcontractor continuous improvement.
Promote Safety in the field; ensure all safety practices and procedures are understood, adopted, and adhered to.
Review mechanical installation packages, project documents, plans and specifications to communicate downstream to site superintendents and their teams.
Collaborate with team to develop installation strategies to maximize installation efficiencies.
Assist with system commissioning and troubleshooting of field installations.
Assist in estimating installation durations and costs.

Base salary ranges from $70-110,000 based on experience

Required Skills & Experience

High school diploma or GED
10+ years of experience in field installation and supervision of conveyors and sorters
2+ years of experience as a lead, foreman, or supervisor in a manufacturing environment
Valid drivers license
Previous experience managing mechanical technicians or crews
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with hand tools, powered tools, forklifts, vertical lifts, etc
Must have the ability to fabricate parts as requried
Proficient at working from mechanical drawings
Working knowledge of electrical schematics
