Job Description
A Client of Insight Global is looking for a secret cleared Sr Windows System Administrator to join their team and help mentor more jr admins. This person will design, implement, and manage secure, high-availability systems. Responsibilities include deploying enterprise system images, maintaining VMware virtual infrastructures, scripting with PowerShell, and managing Group Policies. Ensure compliance with NISPOM, RMF, STIG, and related security standards while supporting multi-user environments and collaborating across teams. Duties also include system monitoring, backup and recovery, security documentation, and recommending enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
Compensation: $75/hr. -- 85/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience
• Active secret clearance
• Active Sec+ certification
• Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture
• Ability to support multiple networks, ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, and direct others, as necessary
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs, deploying new STIGs, and working with IT/IA to develop POA&Ms for vulnerabilities that cannot be mitigated or STIG settings that cannot be applied
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment
• Understanding basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification
• Linux Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions
• VMWare experience with current version
• Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment
