Job Description
The Security Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of electronic security projects, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems. This position ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
- Lead and manage all phases of security system projects from initiation through completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with clients, general contractors, vendors, and internal teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
- Supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure safe, efficient execution in compliance with specifications.
- Conduct on-site inspections to monitor progress, verify quality standards, and resolve technical or logistical challenges.
- Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and forecast financial performance to ensure profitability and alignment with goals.
- Coordinate timely procurement of materials and maintain communication with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Facilitate project meetings and deliver regular status updates to stakeholders for transparency and alignment.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Enforce company standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across all project activities.
- Support system commissioning, testing, and closeout processes, including final documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and contribute to operational best practices.
Day to Day:
- Will require some travel to client sites, construction sites, and vendor locations.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs and work in varying site conditions.
- Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility as required to meet project demands.

Required Skills & Experience
Education and Experience:
□ 3–7 years of project management experience in electronic security, low-voltage systems, or related technical fields.
□ PMP, PSP, or similar industry certification preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
□ Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion, and related security platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, S2, Software House).
□ Familiarity with construction documents, blueprints, and CAD drawings.
□ Strong understanding of cabling standards, network infrastructure, and integration with IT systems.
Skills and Competencies:
□ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
□ Strong communication and leadership abilities.
□ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet).
□ Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
□ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
