Job Description
We are seeking a Manager, Senior Energy Engineer to join our Operations Team, responsible for identifying demand management opportunities across industries, leading a team of engineers, analysts, and administrative staff, and supporting Sales and delivery operations. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this role includes developing engineering recommendations, managing specialized efforts (e.g., generation, metering, ADR), and overseeing expense reporting, PTO, invoicing, training, and compliance initiatives. The Manager will conduct customer discussions, field audits, and detailed engineering analyses, implement ISO and Utility Demand Response solutions, and coordinate estimates and project planning with the delivery team. They will mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, resolve conflicts, set goals, and ensure high-quality execution. Staying current with energy technologies, evaluating financial viability, and identifying revenue opportunities are essential, along with communicating complex energy concepts to non-technical audiences and providing regular reports to leadership.
Salary range: $125,000-$145,000

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, with at-least 7-10 years of relevant energy industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with facility and/or process electrical and mechanical systems is essential.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments and procedures is a plus.
- Membership in professional organizations such as AEE, ASHRAE, ASHE, or similar is encouraged.
- Strong understanding of ISO and Utility Demand Management programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and engineering software systems.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Capable of working independently and completing assignments within established guidelines and standard practices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Located in Baltimore
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable but not required.
