Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to support a health system out of Annapolis, Maryland. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing to ensure our healthcare employees are paid accurately and on time. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, particularly in a healthcare setting.
Essential Job Duties:
• Process payroll for all healthcare employees, including clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain payroll records, including employee information, timekeeping data, and payroll deductions, with a focus on healthcare-specific requirements.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, shift differentials, and other forms of compensation specific to healthcare roles.
• Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues, particularly those unique to healthcare employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and healthcare regulations.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and other required reports.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and clinical departments to ensure accurate employee data and financial reporting.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as requested.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and healthcare regulations.

Required Skills & Experience
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years working with payroll
• Experience working in payroll for a health system
o Comfortable with a large amount of different positions with different pay codes, shift differentials, etc.
• Proficient in excel
• Excellent customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, ability to multitask/work in fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with UKG/Ultipro
• Experience with Microsoft Teams
