Insight Global is seeking an Jr. level RF Systems Engineer to join a research and development team in Aberdeen, MD. In this role, you'll work on cutting-edge radar systems for the U.S. Army, using advanced tools for systems engineering, modeling and simulation, and RF signal/data processing.
You'll collaborate with a high-performing team to develop next-generation radar capabilities, leveraging expertise in radar technology, software/hardware development, and statistical RF signal analysis to deliver end-to-end solutions. A successful candidate will have at least one year supporting technical coordination and technical interchanges with internal and external organizations (e.g., US Navy, US Air Force) to address requirements definition, use case development, and subsystem integration with a strong engineering background in RF system design.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide engineering support to radar science and technology efforts
Lead and assist in meetings to negotiate solutions across subsystems and disciplines (software, hardware, modeling, and analysis)
Support development of radar hardware testbed
Assist Government project lead with project management and technical work as needed
Support test planning activities and provide on-site test support
Leverage in-house MATLAB M&S tools to evaluate radar system Concept of Operations
$45hr to $65hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. · 1+ years of experience in radar and/or other RF system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
· Experience with all aspects of systems engineering, including developing, designing, allocating, and managing user and system-level requirements
· Hands-on experience in test and evaluation planning of a new system
· Systems engineering applied to ground- or air-based radar, communications, or RF systems
· Object-oriented programming knowledge
· BS Degree in STEM or related technical field
· Minimum Active Secret Clearence
