- Responsible for designs, projects, and expansion of wireless networks at locations within the DC-MD-VA area and nationally (Less than 10% travel)
- Utilize working knowledge of wireless network infrastructure, signal propagation, advanced troubleshooting wireless interference, optimizing coverage, spectrum analysis, etc
- Utilize understanding and comprehension of network protocols and switching, TCP/IP, FTP/HTTP(S), UDP, STP, VPN, etc
- Provide technical root cause analysis or requirements summaries to the team and management using fundamental network terminologies
- Troubleshoot CISCO routers, switches, wireless access points, uninterruptible power supplies, firewalls, etc
- Activate and configure CISCO switches, routers, NICs, LAN ports and diagnose configuration issues using command line and prompts on the switch and or endpoint device
- Create network and closet diagrams and able to decipher network topologies
- Use industry standard wireless network tools to perform wireless surveys, create designs, produce analysis reporting
Salary range: $75,000-$85,000
