Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Project Engineer to support our end client in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role will primarily be on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD but some of the time will be spent traveling internationally for projects for a few weeks at a time. This person will be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. This person will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Responsibilities include:
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Interact daily with the site mangers and staff to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
Perform a supportive role quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnels performance) and report regularly on project status
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Project management and supervision skills
Time management and organization skills

Compensation: 80K-120K

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Either maintains an active clearance OR is eligible to be processed for a DOD clearance
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Experience
Background as a Project Engineer (ideally in the Civil Engineering field)
5-8 years experience as a Project Engineer, preparing procedures, building out procedures for requirements, creative writing, familiar with best practices and performance standards, handling procurement, preparing RFIs and handling QA/QC policies.
Comfortable traveling overseas to project sites as needed to support construction efforts

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as Auto CAD
Advanced MS Office skills
Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
