IT Business Analyst

A global materials science client is looking for an IT Business Analyst to join their PharmBio IT team. As an IT Business Analyst, you will act as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the capabilities required to meet organizational goals and objectives, to document business needs, requirements and user stories in a way that can be easily leveraged for solution design, build, and operation, and to ensure that the resulting developed solutions ultimately meet the business needs. The IT Business Analyst, partnering with Product Owners, will own and drive requirements that result in documented user stories which help their business areas prioritize work for sprints, and guide development teams on solution design. Ideally, this person will be local to Elkton, MD and able to come onsite a few days a week.

- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience working with Operations Business Functions as a BA (Supply Chain, Quality, Product Development, Manufacturing and Engineering)
- Technical experience with med-large scale applications
- Experience with ERP (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), QMS (as a BA not a user: SAP QMS, Trackwise), MES, PLM systems
- Experience define current/future state of business processes, writing business & technical requirements
- Experience writing design documents and being involved in testing activities
- knowledge of APIs or integration expedrience
- PowerBI, SQL, Cognos, or Azure Databricks experience
- Ability to define requirements for data reporting and analytics and to document data mapping
- Ability to process change requests through change boards
- Worked in a GxP environment with knowledge of validation processes

- Built project business cases that define the business value
- Partnered across teams to influence technology selection and/or direction
- BA work in Finance, QC Laboratories
- Ability to create data visualizations
- Experience with data mining, data modeling
