Job Description

An employer is looking for a Cyber Fusion Analyst to sit at Fort Meade. The Cyber Fusion analyst will need to be able to produce Threat Activity Reports (TAR) and Security Assurance Requirements (SARS) using Open source tools( OISNT) to gauge the overall health of the environment. They will need to have an understanding of basic intel analysis with a cyber flare. This person should be able to think outside the box and come to a conclusion using the intelligence sources and cyber security tools in the environment. This team is using Splunk and should be able to create dashboard for the other teams to use for charts or summarized data in a visually appealing manner.

Required Skills & Experience

Active TSSCI

Sec+ certification and ability to obtain CSSP-A certification within 180 days of start date.

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience (related DISA experience and cyber courses/certification is accepted in lieu of a degree.)

Proficient understanding of Cyber Network Defense (CND) in regards to protect, detect, respond and sustain within a Computer Incident Response organization.

Highly developed research and analytical skills to pinpoint statistically significant patterns related to cyber threats.

Understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CSSP- A Cert like CEH

Knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) process

Knowledge of DOD Cyberspace Operations (JP 3-12) OR DoD orders process OR DOD's Cyber Incident Handling Program (CJCSM 6510.01B) OR DODIN Transport (DODI 8010.01)

Basic knowledge of threat intelligence software programs (ex: Crowdstrike, Mandiant, or ThreatQ)

Experience characterizing adversary TTPs, behavior for tactical mitigation (ex: Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND)

Experience writing finished intelligence reports and/or estimates tailored to specific audiences.
