Job Description

Insight Global is looking for multiple Medical Collectors to support a large hospital system out in Annapolis, MD. A medical collector is responsible for following up with patients and insurance companies to ensure timely payments for medical bills. They must be skilled in communicating with patients and insurance companies to resolve disputes and negotiate payment plans. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.



Key Responsibilities

Contact patients with unpaid medical bills and negotiate payment plans or settlements

Work with insurance companies to resolve disputes and facilitate payments

Ensure accurate and timely billing and coding of medical records

Maintain records of all patient interactions and payments received

Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid bills

Required Skills & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

At least one year of experience in medical billing and collections

Knowledge of medical billing codes and procedures

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing software

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

EPIC (or a relatable) experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
