An employer is searching for a Central Sterile Supply Technician at a major medical center in Bethesda, MD. This person must possess professional knowledge of a wide range and variety of diseases and types of injuries pertaining to the brain, central nervous system, spinal cord, peripheral nervous systems as well as skills to recognize emergency conditions that require immediate referral or involvement of qualified medical personnel and perform designated treatment. Also, this person will be responsible for assembling, packaging, wrapping, and sterilizing medical supply items, and distributing supply items used for patient care in hospital wards and clinics. Strong knowledge of aseptic principles and techniques including, cleaning techniques, sterilization mediums, tests to determine effectiveness of sterilization, and packaging, storage, and shelf-life characteristics is very important. There are two open shifts available: Shift 1: (9:00AM-5:30PM) and Shift 2: (11:00AM-7:30PM)
At Least 2 years of continuous experience within the last 4 years as a Central Sterile Supply Technician
Hold Active Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician Certification (CSPDT) or Hold Active Certified Registered Central Service Technician Certification (CRCST)
Holds a High School Diploma or GED Certificate
