Insight Global is hiring a Water Treatment Technician to work for their client onsite at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. The Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment equipment, conducting water quality tests, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of water treatment processes.
Essential Duties
* Collect water samples and conduct regular tests to assess chemical, physical, and biological properties.
* Analyze test results to identify contaminants and determine appropriate treatment measures.
* Operate and monitor water treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical dosing systems.
* Adjust treatment processes to optimize efficiency and meet water quality requirements.
* Add chemicals to water to remove impurities, adjust pH levels, and ensure disinfection.
* Monitor and control chemical dosages in accordance with safety protocols.
* Equipment Maintenance:
* Perform routine maintenance on water treatment equipment to ensure proper functionality.
* Troubleshoot and address operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing water quality.
* Maintain accurate records of water quality testing, treatment processes, and equipment maintenance.
* Respond to water quality emergencies and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to develop and implement emergency response plans.
* Communicate effectively with management & onsite staff
* Provide information to the public regarding water quality and treatment processes as necessary.
* Previous experience in water treatment or a related field is preferred.
* Knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., water treatment operator certification) are a plus.
