Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced PCB Designer in Germantown, MD. Our client designs, manufactures, and markets DSP-based Software-Defined Radios (SDR) globally. Specific areas of expertise include DSP-based receiver design, communication systems theory, cellular/PCS/wireless communications, software, electronic packaging, digital and RF hardware design.
Primary responsibilities are below:
* involved in design reviews, PCB material selection, stack-up reviews, and drawings for fabrication and assembly.
* Resolves complex issues on critical programs related to architectural approaches, requirements, specifications, and design.
* Leads technical aspect of proposal preparation.
* Identifies critical performance measures and develops processes for computing them.
* Leads activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services.
* Coordinates engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
* Develops new concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in engineering, math, computer science, physics, or chemistry.
* 4 or more years' experience in PCB Design
* experience using PCB design tools, Cadence is HEAVILY preferred.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Degree from ABET accredited school
* Experience in aerospace industry
