Insight Global is seeking a senior-level Air Quality Scientist or Engineer for a top Environmental Engineering Consulting firm. This person will review state and federal regulations to ensure the highest-quality air is maintained, as well as work on issues such as emission control.
Specific duties will include:
Perform air emissions calculations for various clients (ex. State/local government, power plants, industrial facilities, airports, etc.)
Conduct analyses to determine the amount of air pollutants that are being discharged into the environment and evaluate environmental impact
Develop design options and/or recommendations and prepare deliverable documents
Prepare air quality permit documents on behalf of clients and regulatory agencies, and coordinate and complete permitting projects
Support negotiation of permit conditions with regulators
B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline
10 or more years of experience with regulatory applicability analysis, air emission inventories, initial air permit applications, renewals, and revisions for variety of permitting mechanisms, including: Title V, NNSR, PSD, and minor NSR; and permit and regulatory compliance support + project management experience
Ability to work in remotely with a team
Innovative problem-solving skills required.
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills are required.
