Job Description
A client is looking for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to sit out of their Laurel, MD location. This client specializes in maintaining and modernizing vast water and wastewater systems and infrastructure through innovative solutions, cutting-edge technology, and top-notch service. This individual should specialize in water and wastewater systems planning, design, and upgrade. This individual will be using AutoCAD and GIS software to create water main designs, civil main designs, and pumping station designs, which include but are not limited to:
Biological and process mechanical design
Gravity and pressure sewer system design
Landfill and solid waste facilities design
Large- and small-diameter water main relocation and replacement design
Pumping station design
Specialty valve and vault design
Trenchless pipeline designs, including pipe bursting, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and cured-in-place pipe (CIPP)
Utility relocation design
Utility structures design
Wastewater conveyance and treatment
Water and sewer master plans
Required Skills & Experience
BS in Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
At least 10 years of water main design, civil main design, and/or pumping station design
Designed at least 5-10 projects
The ability to write proposals.
Knowledge of specification writing
CADD and GIS design software experience.
Managerial experience - project management preferred
Strong writing and interpersonal skills.

Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with the following clients:
Baltimore City
DC Water
WSSC
Managing design group, a plus.
