Job Description
A client is seeking a Middleware/Cloud Engineer to sit remotely. The Engineer will work on a team of two other Engineers responsible for the technical operations, builds, software installations and upgrades, patching, security, system responsiveness, scaling, troubleshooting, reliability, and monitoring of the client's Federal Marketplace system. The Engineer will work with all stakeholders to help ensure the delivery of high quality, robust, and scalable solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer
- Strong experience with AWS services like IAM, S3, EC2, AMI, Security Hub, SSM and working with AWS programmatically via the CLI, Tools, or SDK
- Experience in System Monitoring to prevent issues -- Cloud Watch, Splunk, or Uptime Robot Alerts
- Recent Linux Admin experience; knowledge of Windows server 2012
- Experience with Build Serviers and Tools (Jenkins), Versioning and Git based source control, and Configuration Management tools (Ansible)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification or AWS SysOps Administrator experience
- VMware Certified Professional -- Network Virtualization
- Kubernetes and/or Docker Swarm
- Experience architecting interconnectivity of Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
