Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Revenue Cycle Manager to support a large healthcare system out of Baltimore, MD. This person is responsible for managing, directing, and monitoring all operational functions associated with daily operations of Patient Financial Services. These functions will include managing the billing and follow-up activities of third-party payers in a high volume multi-hospital health system (with gross revenues in excess of three billion dollars) consisting of both teaching and community facilities. The Receivable Manager must be well versed in federal and state payer guidelines to ensure compliant billing practices are met. The Manager will lead, develop and mentor staff in meeting expected performance metrics. In addition, this role will manage staff using the department's operational policies, guidelines and code of ethical standards which include respect, diversity and integrity. The Receivable Manager is responsible for establishing relationships at all facilities, having a general understanding of each facilities computer environments and payer contracts.

Required Skills & Experience

* Education: 1 or 2

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Administration, Finance, or related field AND 7 years of progressive financial, hospital receivables management, and Patient Accounting System(s) experience within a medical center or health system.

2. 15 years of direct management experience in hospital receivables within an academic health system

* Minimum of 4 years of direct management experience

* Up-to-date knowledge of:

o Both state and federal billing and collecting guidelines

o Electronic billing and claims editing systems

o Third-party billing and collection processes so that the appropriate patient complaint investigations can be conducted.

* Excellent leadership and communication skills

* Experience with Epic, Excel, Microsoft Suite

* Covid vaxxed or exemption

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or Information Management

* Experience with DC Medicaid and tri-care

* Experience doing VLOOKUPs and presenting data

* Experience using "On Base" to look up errors/denials
