Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an experience robotics integration Operations Manager to join a leading robotics integration and automation company sitting onsite in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This company sells, installs and services robots, fixtures, positioners and plasma cutting systems. With a focus on the development of automated welding cells for small- and medium-sized businesses, along with an eye for proper weld techniques, this company has become a well-respected integrator of robot weld cells in the Prairies. This company is headquartered in a historically under-automated area of Canada, so this Operations Manager will have a unique opportunity to drive immediate, tangible impact to the company and community around them.



In this role, the Operations Manager is responsible for administration of the Automation Division, its projects, finances, the ERP system, and managing a team of skilled technicians. This individual will be directly involved in providing overall project oversight of both standardized and custom automation systems.



As a key member of the automation team, the Operations Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure automation planning is linked to job-site realities at the plant while integration is under way, and at customer sites, post-delivery. They will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing this company's operations and ensuring the successful execution of projects related to robotics integration and advanced automation. To review, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians, coordinating projects, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Expertise in project management, and previous management experience in an Engineer to Order environment (ETO), will be vital in driving the success of this division's operations.



Key responsibilities:

- Ad hoc project requirements

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of production leadership experience in the manufacturing, automation, or closely related industry

- PMP certification required

- Driver's license and ability to travel throughout Canada and US is required

- Strong experience in MS Project project management software

- Experience using multiple ERP systems (Total ETO preferred)

- Experience working in highly technical environments with machinists and engineers

- Client-facing experience developing detailed proposals and negotiating feeds

- Must be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights of up to 75 lbs and confident maneuvering heavy equipment up to 5000lbs

- Must be local to the Manitoba province
