Job Description
A large chemical manufacturing client of Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Plant Engineer to join their engineering team in Plaquemine, LA. This person will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and project management of all electrical projects across 2 sites. This includes planning, designing, and implementing electrical systems for new and existing operations, assisting with maintenance on electrical equipment (MCCs, VFDs, transformers, switchgears, instrumentation, and control systems), and managing the budget, schedule, and vendors/contractors for the electrical infrastructure projects. The role will focus on low and medium voltage projects, both new and existing, and will require 30% travel to another site. The established pay rate is $55-62/hr, depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5-10 years of electrical engineering experience in a plant or industrial setting
• Extensive experience with low and medium voltage projects
• Experience with MCC (motor control center) equipment
