Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a senior project engineer working on power generation projects in the New Orleans LA area. This role is responsible for the management and coordination of all technical engineering aspects of new power generation capital projects. This role ensures that engineering is aligned with corporate goals and is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements of a project's scope. The Project Engineer oversees contractor's engineering performance and coordinates all contractor and owner's engineering interfaces in addition to ensuring projects are completed according to project construction drawings and in accordance with project specifications, quality, and performance requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating efforts of cross-functional teams and building effective relationships with key internal/external stakeholders, including contractors. The Project Engineer is required to work directly with the Project Manager and Project Controls Specialist to ensure process alignment and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- Very well rounded in all of the engineering disciplines
- Experienced reviewing engineering drawings and providing feedback to sub-contractors and making sure it follows specs
- 5+ years of engineering experience in construction for mega capital projects ($250+ M for single project value not portfolio) with emphasis on mechanical elements
- Experience on the owners side
- Highly experienced in the field
- Great communication skills and teamwork
- Experience with large heavy rotating equipment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Power Generation projects (Combined/Simple cycle or combined)
- Professional Engineer (PE)
