Job Description
An EPC firm is seeking a Field Project Controls Lead to join their team in Broussard, LA, in support of their client. This individual will be responsible for cost, cost forecasting, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling. Direct cost estimating, analysis, control activities, schedule alignment, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities. Directs the preparation and presentation of on-project cost forecasts. Supports project organizational and administrative activities. Provides generally non-routine cost/planning and scheduling guidance. Identifies, analyzes, and provides innovative solutions to cost and planning/scheduling problems. Responsible for weekly progress and reporting.
Further Responsibilities:
- Responsible for effective execution of the Project Controls programs on an assigned project in accordance with company Project Controls Department Procedures
- Directs project controls activities
- Executes policy, objectives, and standards applicable to cost and schedule control and analysis activities
- Prepares the Project Controls plan for assigned projects
- Provides leadership in terms of integrating the risk management process with other key project procedures (e.g., Change Management, Forecasting, Cost, Trends, and Claims)

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in the chemical, refining, OR other industrial manufacturing industries
3-5 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, OR cost engineering
3-5 years of Primavera P6 experience and scheduling in a construction environment
Experience in cost functions, including cost estimating, forecasting, cost controls, cost analysis, and scheduling
Experience establishing criteria for Project Control activities
Advanced knowledge of cost accounting and engineering practices, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) creation and management
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including the ability to manipulate large amounts of data and perform complex functions with Excel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Previous capital project experience from working in a chemical plant, a refinery, oil and gas production, construction of major facilities, OR government construction projects
