Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Tax Associate to join a client's team in New Orleans! The Senior Tax Associate position will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports under supervision of the Tax Manager. This includes but is not limited to income tax returns, sales tax returns, excise tax returns, and property tax reports for each of the companys terminals and corporate headquarters. The Tax Senior Associate will also prepare and maintain supporting workpapers for these compliance requirements. The Tax Senior Associate will also assist in generating monthly reconciliation procedures to support all tax-related responsibilities for all company locations. A senior tax associates primary responsibilities include preparing federal and state income tax returns, ASC740 calculations, and supporting workpapers. They handle various tax returns such as excise, property, sales and use, and payroll taxes, and project quarterly taxable income and estimated tax payments. They also prepare tax returns for REITs and Taxable REIT Subsidiaries, maintain quarterly earnings and profits estimates, and assist with fixed asset record reconciliation and tax software implementation. Additionally, they communicate with tax authorities to resolve any notices

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Tax
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
- 6+ years experience in an accounting/tax role
