An employer in New Orleans is seeking an onsite Firmware Engineer to join their team. The Firmware Engineer will perform software and some hardware requirements of analysis, design, implementation, and integration of embedded software for simulation systems. This role is 70% software / 30% hardware. Our client has a piece of hardware replicating military grade weapons and this individual will be responsible for contributing to the embedded engineering efforts that help the hardware show real time data updates on the state of the simulated weapon. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-performance and reliable systems.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
4+ years Firmware/Embedded Engineering experience
RTOS Experience (Zephyr preferred - but not must have)
Digital and Analog Experience
Experience with microcontrollers
Proven ability to implement embedded software, modular applications with Model/software
Understanding of data collection and analysis of sensor systems
Familiarity with embedded board level designs and ability to develop/debug low level software
