Insight Global is looking for a Public Health Nutritionist to join a client in New Orleans, LA. This individual will serve as a nutrition subject matter expert for the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program staff and participants and will develop nutrition care plans using criteria provided by the USDA WIC program, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. They will screen and assess WIC participants, record data, assign appropriate food packages, and manage prescriptions and special formula for infants and children on specialized formula. This individual must have clear and effective communication skills and will be required to complete annual trainings to maintain professional growth. This is a full-time, permanent placement opportunity that will require some evening and weekend work as needed.

-Possession of a permanent Louisiana Dietitian/Nutritionist License

-1+ year of supervisory experience
-Master's degree in Human Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Food System Management and 3+ years of professional experience in field of Public Health, Program Management or Program Administration OR Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Systems Management and 4+ years of professional experience in field of Public Health, Program Management or Program Administration
-Proficiency in LAWIN, Outlook, and Louisiana Medicaid
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
