Job Description
Summary:
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Grounds Keeper/ Maintenance working who will be responsible maintaining grounds and lawn care needs.
Responsibilities:
· Mow, weed-eat & clear underbrush using gas-powered equipment
· Weeding, trimming, pruning, and other horticultural duties as assigned to ensure the health of plants and trees
· Basic equipment maintenance, assist in building & maintaining landscape structures, outdoor furniture, and walkways.
· Assist with the care of plants, flowers, grass, trees, and shrubs as directed (i.e. mulch garden beds, prune plants, remove dead vegetation)
· Maintain a neat appearance at Sankofa sites through regular trash pick-up and trash pulls, curb maintenance, and other duties as needed.
· Removal of aquatic vegetation either from a boat or via the use of hip waders
· Work with Facilities Specialist and Facilities & Utilities Manager on grounds and maintenance duties
Required Skills & Experience
Requirements:
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
* Proficient in using lawn equipment and power tools safely
* Ability to bend, push, pull, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
* Knowledge of plants, trees, and horticulture
* Ability to work outside in various weather conditions for extended periods of time
* Ability to work in a natural environment with the potential to encounter wildlife and understand requirements of animal habitat protection
* Ability to utilize basic computer skills (Google Drive, Microsoft Office, etc.)
