We are looking for 2+ Civil Engineers join a full-time role onsite in Covington, La or New Orleans, La. This individual will be a part of a team of 8-10 engineers and will assist with substation site designs and foundation builds for a utility client. The ideal candidate will come from an EPC background and should have relevant civil substation experience. The Civil Engineer will be using Civil 3D for designs and LPILE for foundations. Responsibilities also include developing site designs including storm water management, grading, surface/sub-surface drainage plans, detailed plans and specifications, and bidding and construction management of civil projects. The Civil Engineer will work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable preliminary drawings and design of site/foundation/structural components for High Voltage Substation Facilities in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards and Request for Quote (RFQ) scope of work ensuring constructability of design.
* 2+ years of civil engineering/structural engineering experience
* Experience creating drainage plans
* Previous utilities or engineering procurement construction experience
* Experience with the analysis and design of concrete foundations (Ipile, risa), anchorage systems, and the review of structural steel and connections
