There is 1 opening for a The Public Safety Security Engineer who will provide strategic and technical support to internal stakeholders which is primarily the client's Police Department and Enterprise Risk Management group, reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer. This position serves as the senior member of the Public Safety support team and as the primary contact for Public Safety specific software vendors, technical evaluation, installation, maintenance, system administration and support for a variety of systems and consultative support. The Public Safety Security Engineer provides leadership in researching and identifying appropriate technology solutions for multiple software applications, additional will lead all implementations, configurations, and maintains major Public Safety specific systems. This position researches and recommends best practices and compliance relating to Public Safety solutions and the team to ensure continuous operational excellence and improvement. This is a permanent position, working on-site / in office in the downtown New Orleans area, which will eventually move to a hybrid schedule after a trial period.
-At least 5 years of experience within Cybersecurity / Infrastructure
-3 years of public safety information technology experience to include support and administration for major software systems in a complex environment.
-Comfortable supporting / directly communicating with internal stakeholders on various projects and company initiatives
-Prior leadership experience along with excellent communication and professional demeanor
-Formerly worked with video management systems
-Formerly worked with body cameras, police radios, and evidence management software
