Job Description
The Senior Project Manager is a key member of the team, responsible for leading and managing projects across the organization. This role focuses on enhancing the performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimizing risk through effective project management, implementation of safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with various Logistics Operations locations and the Senior Logistics Leadership team to drive a culture of safety excellence, utilizing PDCA principles to achieve sustainable results. The position will travel to open new locations, work to assist existing locations for improvement and other assigned duties.
• Project Management: Does research, creates timelines, delegates accountabilities, coordinates with customers/vendors/partners and reports progress to management. Takes appropriate action to meet key project milestone due dates. Manages costs.
• Safety: Implements processes that meet organizations OHSMS standards. Establishes KPIs to measure facility safety success and follows PDCA process. Ensures that safety key points are part of Standardized Work. Promotes a safe working environment for all team members.
• Quality: Implements Quality Management Systems. Establish KPIs to measure facility quality and follow PDCA process. Ensures that quality key points are part of Standardized Work.
• Productivity: Establishes measures for productivity (standard time, takt time etc.) and sets targets. Establishes KPIs to measure facility productivity and follows PDCA process. Ensures there is a process for communicating productivity targets to Team Members
• Cost Control: Establishes a process to measure controllable costs, setting KPIs and follows the PDCA process. Ability to Manage project budget and escalation of issues that have an adverse effect on profitability.
• Kaizen: As directed by SBU Leadership, supports established operations with improving safety, quality, productivity, HR & Training and Environmental programs, and documents the kaizen results.
• HR and Training: Establishes a training program that includes training DOJO, mobile equipment training program that meets TAI standards, on-boarding training for new members, validation of effectiveness and training versatility matrix for all processes. Establishes KPIs to measure training and uses PDCA process.
• Environment: Implements an Environmental Management System that follows TAI’s standards. Establishes KPIs to measure facility success and follows PDCA process.
• FMDS: Establishes Floor Management Development Systems to monitor the performance of Safety, Quality, Productivity, HR& Training, Cost Control and Environmental at the facility and department level. Kaizen: As directed by SBU Leadership, supports established operations with improving safety, quality, productivity, HR & Training and Environmental programs, and documents the kaizen results.
• Auditing: As directed by SBU management, audits/checks established operations to the SBU Standards

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. High-level professional industry safety certifications are strongly desired.
- 5 to 8 years of environmental health and safety experience. Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems is required.
- Prior experience in start-up operations with facility building layout and root-source unit cost principles is preferred.
- Experience delivering working improvements to safety standards, conducting incident investigations, and heading safety committee leadership across Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Transportation, and other required regulatory jurisdictions.
- Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or similar certification strongly desired, or eligibility to sit for the exam
