Insight Global is seeking a Jr. Investment Portfolio Manager for a respected buy-side asset management client based in Kentucky. This individual will support portfolio management activities through deep analytical work, heavy use of Bloomberg and Excel, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external investment managers. The role offers exposure to portfolio construction, performance analysis, and light trading without the pressure of sitting at a trading desk all day. The team values curiosity, efficiency, and continuous improvement, providing a relaxed but professional culture with no surprises. Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio support, or related buy-side role
• Strong Excel skills (including Lookups/VLOOKUP, data analysis, comfort working in spreadsheets all day)
• Daily hands-on experience with Bloomberg
• Exposure to portfolio analytics, reporting, or performance attribution
• Interest in automation and process improvement
• Open-minded, coachable, and eager to improve efficiency and technical proficiency
• Desire to pursue CFA (not required, but must be motivated)
Willingness to be based long-term in Kentucky
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Clearwater Analytics
• Light trading or trade support exposure
• VBA, Python, or other automation tools
• Buy-side or asset management background
• Experience working with external/third-party investment managers
Experience outside of insurance-heavy environments
