Job Description
Our manufacturing client in Georgetown, KY is looking for an electrical maintenance technician.
This position is responsible for preventive maintenance of low voltage service equipment, safety and training. This position will support maintenance and production activities as required. This position should have hands-on experience, providing a direct link between engineering, maintenance, and production interacting with all parties in order to achieve Continuous Improvement.
• Able to provide sound engineering practices and methods within the guidelines of company policies.
• This position supports production and maintenance activities, to include problem solving goals and objectives, and cost reduction improvements.
• This position will specify or recommend new electrical equipment, design/install, operate standardize and train.
• Support new Project Management, especially with plumbing of electrical system and PLC units.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Emergency breakdown support as needed, to which some travel maybe required, repair and replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, switchboards, conductors, switches and various electrical fixtures.
• Prepare reports and visual presentations as required

Required Skills & Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree in electrical engineering preferred
• Technical degree or applied proven maintenance experience required, minimum 4-6 years..
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Thorough knowledge of specialized or technical field such as programming PLC’s (Allen Bradley, Keyence, Omron), robotics (Fanuc, Kawasaki, etc) electrical circuit boards, hydraulics, pneumatic on a wide variety of industrial equipment.
