Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer to work onsite to assist with multiple projects including construction projects and an end-of-life equipment project. Due to the numerous projects, priorities shift, and this individual will need to be comfortable pivoting from priority to priority. The Network Engineer will assist with configuring and deploying Cisco switches, replacing end of life equipment from Cisco 2960 to 9200 and some from Cisco 3850 to 9500, identifying various cabling types (ex: OM1, OM3, and OS2), identifying where the threshold of light failure is to understand if there is a light failure or system configuration failure, and getting switches into a stacked configuration where they may not have been before. The individual will have someone supervise their work, but the ideal candidate can hit the ground running with minimal supervision. Pay expectations are between $50-57/hr. This is a contract to hire role with an ever-evolving company in the Louisville, KY area.

4+ years of experience in a Network Engineer related role
Experience configuring and deploying Cisco switches (ex: Cisco 2960 to 9200, Cisco 3850 to 9500)
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to switch priorities as needed
Experience with network fundamentals or carrier fundamentals
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or related certifications
Basic light measurement experience (i.e., identifying threshold of light failure)
Experience routing in datacenter environment
Racing or gaming experience
