Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Quality Engineer for one of our largest fortune 150 Manufacturing clients located in Lexington, KY. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, modifying applying and maintaining quality standards for products and processes. You will be providing statistical information for quality improvement by gathering data on trends and root cause analysis. You will be working with customers and managing the quality issues that come into the group, understand/learn the process, and identify what the defects are and what caused it. You will be working alongside the quality department and interacting with Process Engineers to ensure plant quality objectives are achieved.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
2-8+ years of professional experience in quality engineering
Familiarity with PPAP methodologies and APQP document creation and approval
Familiarity with inspection methods
Experience conducting Layered Process Audits (LPAs)
Excellent personality and communication skills will be interacting with customers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

SQ Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or CQE Certification
IS 9001
American Society for Quality certification
Six Sigma and lean tools experience
SQM (quality management system)
