Job Description

Day to Day:
Greet and assist patients: Welcome patients and visitors, provide information, and direct them to the appropriate areas.
Appointment scheduling: Manage the appointment calendar, schedule and confirm appointments, and handle cancellations or rescheduling.
Patient records: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle patient inquiries in a professional manner.
Billing and payments: Process patient payments, handle billing inquiries, and coordinate with the billing department.
Office management: Ensure the reception area is clean and organized, manage office supplies, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Coordination: Work closely with dental staff, students, and faculty to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience/exposure in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses
Education or training in office administration or healthcare is a plus.
