Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking a Safety Director for a large material handling company in the Louisville, KY area. The Safety Director is responsible for overseeing and enforcing all safety protocols within the organization. They ensure that the company adheres to all industry safety standards and government regulations. Their duties include conducting regular safety audits, developing safety training programs, and implementing preventative measures to minimize risks. They work closely with management and staff to foster a culture of safety throughout the organization. With their extensive knowledge of material handling processes, they are instrumental in identifying potential hazards and implementing solutions to mitigate them. The Safety Director plays a crucial role in protecting the well-being of all employees and maintaining the companys reputation for safety. Their leadership and expertise are vital in promoting a safe and healthy work environment. This is a full-time permanent role with an incredibly employee focused manufacturing company in the Louisville area.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in safety or environmental management or related field
Experience conducting regular safety audits, developing safety training programs, and implementing preventative measures to minimize risks
Proficient safety experience within a material handling or manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Specific certifications such as the Certified Safety Director (CSD) credential, accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), Certified Safety Manager (CSM), Safety Director Certificate (SDC), Safety Professional Certificate (SPC), Licensed Safety Professional Certificate (LSP), or Master Safety Professional (MSP)
Masters Degree
Experience with conveyors, automation, forklifts, or machinery
