Job Description

An employer is looking for BI Data Warehouse Developer to join our team local to Louisville, KY. This individual will be joining a strong agile team of BI Engineers in support of the corporate entity or specifically assigned subsidiaries. This individual will report directly to the Sr. Director and will be working closely with the Team Lead. This individual will be tasked with building and maintaining ETL and Data Warehouse Objects, participating in the transition from on-prem to cloud-based solutions, support legacy products based on SQL BI Stack, as well as contribute to the design and optimization of our data layer. Other job responsibilities will include translating business requirements into production level technical specifications and data models. The focus of this role could be deemed a ratio of 85% technical and 15% client / business responsibilities such as building reports to be displayed to key stakeholders. This is a Monday Friday role, working onsite each day from 9:00AM to nearly 5:00PM.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of experience working as a Windows SQL Developer working with SQL to solve complex logic problems
o Complex stored procedures, common table expressions, analytic functions, query optimization, and indexing
- 4+ years of Professional Experience building and maintaining ETL and Date Warehouse objects
- Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data imports
- Experience building solutions with object-oriented languages

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience working with BI Tools like (MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience working with Snowflake/Star
- Experience working with multi-terabyte data sets
- Prior experience working with the design and architecture of a Windows SQL Database / Server
- Experience working with low-latency data systems (stream processing, CDC, ex)
