Job Description
Insight Global is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for a direct hire opportunity supporting the creation of the brand-new manufacturing plant in Glendale, KY. This individual will support a growing engineering department focused on improving quality of products and services while supporting plant expansion. It can be expected that 50% of the time this engineer will be out in the plant interacting with engineers, technicians, tradesmen, and operators to understand project needs. This individual has an opportunity to establish and manage consistent enhancement of gate safety and reliability assessments, performing reliability tests as well as tests upon shipment safety within two massive battery manufacturing plants. Ideally, we are looking for an organized, self-driven problem solver to join the organization to support the production lines, ensuring all methodologies are safe, effective, and efficient while producing quality finished products. This engineer will optimize current production processes, assist plant in addressing equipment downtime issues, oversee PM programs for battery manufacturing equipment, and support new model equipment launch.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
* 3 years of Quality Engineering Experience within a Manufacturing setting
o Prior experience developing and managing quality systems
o Experience performing reliability test for mass production
o Experience reviewing and approving results of safety, performance, and reliability of products / services
* Project Management Experience - overseeing and ensuring the consistent quality of products or services funneling through the manufacturing process.
* Experience with production validation process - Ability to audit internal and external Supplier Quality Performance
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Lean implementation
* Experience regulating ISO Requirements for auditing purposes
* SAP experience
