The Environmental Health Department of a local government is looking for a Remote Project Manager to lead and execute the Lead Free Project. This initiative will be Federally funded until Dec 21st, 2024. This project will be used to implement the Federal Strategy for Eliminating Childhood Lead Poisoning by building infrastructure to track lead-safe housing stock and expand community awareness of lead risks. This Local Government currently provides blood lead surveillance, case management and performs public awareness activities, but these strategies only address lead poisoning after the damage is done. As a truly preventative strategy this project would create an electronic data management system for tracking environmental lead hazards in residential property, creating a single data repository for property with identified lead hazards as well as those that have been made lead-safe. This project would also provide founding for a comprehensive lead hazard awareness campaigns to primary care provides, childcare facilities, and provide funding for the performance of lead risk assessments. The goal of this initiative is to increase the City's capacity to identify lead hazards by providing training to certify professionals as lead hazard risk inspectors and assessors. This project manager will be responsible for designing, managing, and executing this project through creating RFP's, coordinating internal employees and external partners, performing tests and executing the work packages. They will hold the strategic direction and vision to get this project fully executed before it's end date (Dec 21st, 2024).
