Job Description
An Insight Global client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support a workforce health program focused on occupational injury treatment and job-related physical evaluations. This provider will evaluate, treat, and document care for employees to ensure they are medically fit for work and to manage work-related injuries efficiently and compliantly.
The NP will work directly with patients in a clinical setting, performing assessments, treatments, and required documentation to support safe return-to-work decisions and workforce readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries (approximately 50% of patient volume)
Conduct pre-employment, post-offer, and job-specific physical exams to determine medical fitness for job duties (other 50% of patient volume)
Assess functional capabilities related to physical job requirements (e.g., lifting, standing, repetitive motion)
Determine work restrictions, modified duty, and return-to-work status
Accurately complete clinical documentation, injury reports, and physical exam records in the EMR
Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery expectations, and workplace safety

Required Skills & Experience
Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Kansas
DOT physical certification (or willingness to obtain)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience with work-related injuries, functional capacity exams, or occupational physicals
Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes
Sees an average of 20 patients a day, there are 3 MAs for assistance
