Job Description

Insight Global's client in the Environmental Consulting space is looking to add a Project Manager to their team in the Kansas City area. Specializing in environmental consulting work, projects can range from helping clients with Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, environmental impact assessments, soil, air and groundwater sampling, and industrial hygiene. They work with clients in the restaurant industry (ex: Culvers), school districts and colleges, and government agencies (US Post Office, City of KC, State of Kansas) to help with environmental construction monitoring and regulatory compliance. Experience in the advanced environmental industry is key to success in this role. This person will spend a majority of their time in the office but also be responsible for traveling to job sites as needed to check in on their technicians (2) and job sites. Other responsibilities include:
Assist in assessment and remediation and field observation documentation
Will be in charge of collecting samples and bringing them to the lab to be tested, do not often test them in the field
Perform industrial hygiene services to include performing asbestos, indoor air quality, and lead surveys
Ability to prepare technical proposal and reports
Ability to communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects moving and on schedule
Ability to self-manage and make decisions during all phases of a project
Ability to manage and control project budgets and build solid relationship with clients
Manage up to 5 different projects at any given time

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum-BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Engineering, Geology, or related field
4+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience
Experience more important than degree
Valid driver license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Lead/Asbestos license
NIOSH cert
Boat operation/trailering
