Job Description

Our client, a leader in geotechnical engineering and services, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join lead their Kansas City office. This position manages and creates moderately to highly complex geotechnical and construction materials testing projects by providing the technical expertise required to exceed client expectations. They're looking for this person to drive growth and lead the market over the next few years. This opportunity provides a great chance to become a leader. The candidate will be responsible for tasks across all sides of the geotechnical engineering and sales lifecycle. They have a responsibility to develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non-project-related face-to-face meetings. Along with client relationships, they'll be responsible for mentoring junior engineers. On the engineering side, they'll prepare complex engineering reports, provide professional opinions, and offer practical geotechnical solutions. Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering program required
- Six plus years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Having a PE is required
- Geotechnical expertise including leading geotechnical investigations, scoping, budgeting and proposal writing; direct field investigations and lab testing; perform data analysis and develop engineering recommendations; and prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports
- Have led or provided work directions to junior engineers
