A company in the Kansas City, KS area is seeking a Lab Technician to work in their construction materials testing lab. The lab technician will be performing tests on soils and concrete samples, maintaining the laboratory and field equipment calibrations by scheduling out-of-house calibrations and performing in-house calibrations, maintain lab certifications with AML and CCRL (AASSHTO), and reporting lab results using META software.
The lab technician will be completing compression strength and crushing tests on concrete cylinders and beams as well as sulfur capping. For soils testing, the lab technician will be completing Atterberg, Proctor, and moisture testing on a daily basis. There will also be occasional unconfined compression testing and aggregate gradations.
· Related degree (Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, etc.)
