Job Description

An employer is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to sit remotely and be responsible for the successful completion of project mechanical design and stress analysis from the conceptual stage through to completion. They will act as a mentor to the Junior Engineers on staff in a manner that is conducive to teamwork and strong professional development. Additionally, they may support design activity for any of our customers, but the main focus will be concentrated on our aerospace opportunities.



· Comply with all applicable company safety, HR and Quality Management System policies and procedures and report any violations observed to your supervisor

· Execution of all engineering aspects of the design, fabrication, and installation of a project

· Communicate internally with teammates and externally with customers and suppliers

· Understand and reduce manufacturing costs via DFC and DFM principles

· Drawing and Documentation creation and control

· Stress document, FEA, and hand calculation creation and control

· Adherence to project budget and schedule requirements

· Provide technical support for supply chain; may include Project Management activities

· Work as a member of a team including project management, engineering, fabrication and sales teams

Other related responsibilities including fieldwork as required

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of experience with Simcenter Nastran/ FEMAP and MSC Nastran/ Patran

· 5+ years of experience performing Stress and Structural Analysis of structure, tooling, and equipment

5+ years of experience in Modal Analysis

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· P.E. License

· AS9100D or ISO 9001:2015 experience

· Machining and welding experience

Pneumatic and hydraulic design experience
